Bomb the Music Industry [Get Warmer] PDF Print E-mail

Bomb the Music Industry! - Get Warmer (c) 2007 Asian Man RecordsBomb the Music Industry! - Get Warmer I remember the old days.  The days that, up until recently, I had been living under a rock inside a cave.  How Bomb the Music Industry! slipped under my radar for three of four albums can only be explained by my having lived the last decade in utter isolation and solitude.  Jokes aside Bomb the Music Industry, hence forth referred to as BTMI!, is totally flippin' rad.  When I listen to "Get Warmer" I get the ironic sensation that I just bit into an icy cool York peppermint patty.  Ok, perhaps not all jokes aside.  Get Warmer serves up 12 tracks of eclectic ska punk somewhere between Big D and the Kid's Table and Suicide Machines.  The eclecticism comes in with odd instrumentation: xylophones, banjo and moog-like sounds for instance.  BTMI! also seems to like have fun with words.  Track titles include: "Jobs Schmobs", "Bike Test 123" and "Pizza Claus Is Comin' To Town".  Honestly, I can't say much more than, if you've been in the dark like me, check this band out as soon as martianly possible.  (I only suspect that Martians get things done faster than humans and have no actual proof)  On a final note, this band has everything I like in band.  They can be serious, silly or seriously silly.  At the same time, the music is intriguingly rocking and ultimately cool.  Bomb the Music Industry! = my new favorite band in a long damn time.
